Throughout the 2022/23 academic year, six teams from schools across Northern Ireland took part in theory and practical workshops, with their paired industry expert, as part of W5’s Ingenious Cardboard Regatta.

Students explored fundamental concepts and developed their engineering knowledge throughout these workshops. This understanding was applied during hands-on sessions, where the teams researched, designed and built a cardboard boat for the final event.

The programme reached its conclusion as the students embarked on the River Lagan, competing against each other in their cardboard boats.

ATTNx was commissioned by W5 to create this highlight package from the most exciting day and the finale of the programme on the banks of the River Lagan.
